My name is Thimo and I am 22 years old. I was born in 98' in a small town near Munich (Bavaria) that has a very gorgeous landscape I enjoy every moment! Mountains, lakes and forests make me go outside a lot and the fresh air to enjoy the little moments. So I would say I am very close to nature with my entire mindset.

I made it through the 12 classes of school where I learned the basics of French and Spanish, the rest is irrelevant cause you don't need it after school. I received my certificate and went straight to school that educate traditionell saddlers. I worked at HK-Engineering (search it in the internet you won't regret it) in the upholstery and made the whole interior. A job that connects my love to old-timer and my daily life.

But now I want to go on and learn something for life.

So, I am a very positive guy who is respectful nosey and want to learn from people I meet, I want to know what they have been through if they are open to tell me. I think you can learn from everyone you meet something that will help you in some upcoming situations.

I am a very calm person that can be quiet and is full of energy at the same time. Friends of me feel very "safe and unjudged" in my appearance and want to speak or feel free to speak what they normally don't do often.

I asked my grandfather how he would describe me to complete this profile because I am here for visit and he just said I am a honest buddy to everyone.

So far I haven't been a host and in the upcoming time it will be hard cause I am on a journey. But so far I was the host for all of my friends that loved to hang out at my flat. They felt very comfortable and I was nearly never alone. I had 2 mattresses for them that anybody can sleep anytime at my place. I loved it to cook for them and made them feel like it was their own home. Let them stay there when I wasn't even at home.
I speak in the past because after my journey the flat is gone. But the next will come.

I love taking Fotos with my Sony A7, a picture is freezing the moment that will float away, landscapes, portraits animals... every host get a portrait for my daily trip diary.

In February I will go for a walk. A walk from Munich to Portugal (about 2300km) and I want to learn a lot from people I will meet, get experience in categories I don't have so far.
I want to be close to nature and the locals between home and Portugal and feel the distance over months of walking (not just getting out of the plane and after 3 hours flight: "oh hello Portugal")
Even if I think I will be tired after everyday hours of walking and finally resting at a host, I hope you will be infected by good vibes and some sort energy.

I want to know the people of each Country or Town on my journey.
I want to know how you cook the dish that reminds you of your country and add it to my cookbook.
I want to hang out an evening or experience something.
I want to get to Portugal with the thought that good people made me do it, supported me even if they don't know me well and motivated me to reach the finishing line.

And I hope that I will make a lot of friends on my route!

To demonstrate how much I am into music I can tell you that my listening time on Spotify in 2019 was 98.000 minutes. All day long!

Most of the time I listen to melodic sounds! Often it is Hip Hop or funk what is giving me a great energy.
I really like the sound of Spanish and latino music too, it is such a positive vibe.
For a relaxed afternoon or evenings I listen to Reggae and jazz hop (Hiphop with jazzy beats)
I don't care what Language the songs are as long as they are melodic!

I am a enthusiast of vinyl and love listening and collecting them.
My favorite artist is Mac Miller.

Actually I listen to every sort of music without rock and heavy metal.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of my favorite things I've done was camping in a tent at 3000 meters above sea level in the Dolomites. Going to sleep with big black clouds right above me, waking up in the middle of the night to the clearest starry sky I have ever seen with the milky way, in the middle of it. Star by star.

The next thing that will be amazing is my march to Portugal
