This isn’t necessarily something I’ve done, but when I was in San Francisco I was at the pier, and an older man was playing the bongos. He was clearly a street performer, and I rather enjoyed his music, so I approached him to tip him, and he offered me a quick lesson. It was amazingly spontaneous and fun.
