Overview
About Me
Hi, I’m Riri – a curious soul with a love for storytelling, meaningful conversations, and spontaneous adventures. I work in digital marketing and e-commerce, but outside the screen, I’m all about local cafés, nature walks, deep chats under city lights, and trying new cuisines.
Originally from Indonesia, I’ve lived in different parts of the Middle East and Europe, and I love learning about people’s cultures, quirks, and ways of life. I believe every place (and person) has a story to tell, and I’m always excited to listen or share mine.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe travel is more than sightseeing—it’s about real connections. I love meeting locals, hearing untold stories, and experiencing a place through someone else’s eyes. Couchsurfing is the perfect way to feel at home in a new city and to offer the same to fellow travelers when I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
I have a soft spot for classical music—there’s something magical about hearing Debussy or Giovanni Allevi. I also love the smoothness of R&B (Ne-Yo is a forever favorite) and the depth of jazz—perfect for slow mornings or late-night thinking. My playlists are a mix of elegance and soul.
Movies
Thrillers are my jam—anything that keeps me guessing until the very end. I enjoy movies that play with the mind, with clever twists or dark suspense. Bonus points if it’s beautifully shot.
Books
Give me a good thriller or mystery, and I’ll disappear into it for hours. I grew up loving Sidney Sheldon and Sherlock Holmes—brilliant plots and complex characters. I also enjoy motivational books that inspire growth and self-reflection when I need a mental reset.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once spontaneously booked a solo trip, ended up in a small town I’d never heard of, and spent the day with locals who didn’t speak my language—but we laughed, cooked, and shared stories through gestures, smiles, and a lot of pointing. It reminded me how universal kindness is.
