À propos de moi

Hey, I am Lorenz from Augsburg, a beautiful city in southern Bavaria. I am always interested in meeting new people from wherever they might come from. I am always open to new experiences and like to learn about anything related to culture, politics, food and people. I am an active person who likes to do sports and get outdoors.

P.S.: I just recently moved to Erlangen. I am still getting to know the town and region and you are welcome to join me on that journey! :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

For me, the reason to travel is to submerge in another culture, to experience a foreign way of life and - this is especially important to me - to learn about and try the local cuisine :) In my perspective, the only way to do this is to get in contact with locals and Couchsurfing is the perfect place for that! I am always interested in a conversation about almost anything and am happy to share travel stories or insights into the German culture and language.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

The list of books I want to read is getting longer day by day with me only very slowly working it off. I am mostly into non-fiction books focusing on topics like human history, geography, politics or natural sciences.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the greatest experiences I had so far, was travelling from Germany to Japan by train. This journey made me visit so many unexpected, off the beaten path places and meet people who welcomed me with an unbelievable amount of kindness, no matter the difficulties in communication. What fascinated me, especially about this slow form of travel, was the smooth transition of cultures and landscapes you are able to perceive that way. Everybody is somehow influenced by his neighbours and vice versa.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I am always open to sharing insights about my home country, Germany, its culture, politics, cuisine or language. I could teach you some basic vocabulary, sentences or folk songs if you like! I am honestly not the best cook, but I am confident in baking a few cakes and a gorgeous vegetarian quiche. If you are interested in my studies, I am obviously always happy to talk and teach you about that as well!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

A good time, a fun and open personality and the flexibility to also get by alone, if you need some time for yourself ;)
