Overview
About Me
I live in Berlin since 5 years and I made it my home. It's the place where I'm always looking forward to, to get back to after traveling. I've been studying Literature and Anthropology. You might ask yourself what I want to do with that... Well, I've asked myself the same question and couldn't find an answer, and that's why I decided to study again. Now I am becoming a teacher for English and Politics.
I used to travel a lot, now I am working and studying so I don't have that much capacity anymore but I still try to get away every now and then because I have the urge for fresh air, a simple life and new impressions. My big passion is walking. I've been walking on the Camino de Santiago twice and compleated 1400 km on foot altogether. My second passion is singing. I've been member of the 'HXOS Choir (Greek for "Sound", www.hxos-chor.de) here in Berlin for the past 5 years and this group of people became my second Family. I see making Music together as a way of creating community and opening up as well as something that can touch people deep within. And my third passion are languages. Learning languages is on my bucket-list-for-life. I am very language oriented and I find it easy to pick up phrases and memorise words.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On my travels I always avoided to stay in Hostels. The few times a did stay in Hostels I found that there was a very anonymous and ignorant atmosphere. I like get to know the people I am staying with a little, talk, hear their stories and connect. Couchsurfing is a great opportunity for sharing, giving and taking likewise.
