I’m Yerson, but you just call me YER, I am a passionate and curious traveler from Colombia, currently back here and getting used to it after being 5 years out of the country. My last visit was (Central Europe) mainly Poland, where I taught English to young people through a volunteer program. I’m also a volunteer at the YMCA, where I do social work in vulnerable communities ; an experience that has taught me the value of empathy, teamwork, and connection with others.

I’m passionate about meeting new people, teachinggg!, nature, and everything related to art. I love meaningful conversations, especially with a good cup of coffee, and I really enjoy cooking Colombian food to share a bit of my culture wherever I go. I’m also deeply interested in leadership and integral education, especially through outdoor experiences and camps. Very outdoorsy out here! Hah

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about a place to stay or host, it’s about exchanging stories, ideas, and kindness. I bring positive energy, curiosity, and respect to every space I share. If you host me, you can expect good conversations, laughter, and maybe a taste of Colombia on your table.
