About Me
I've found this the trickiest part to fill in! I'm (soon to be) 30 years old, having lived in a few different parts of the UK I'm now in Bristol with my partner Scott Lewis. He is also on CS, has done it for many years, and has a lot of references. You can find his profile here: https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/bovinemadness
My workdays are spent doing a marketing job for a property company in the city centre (not very exciting), but during the evenings and on weekends I do a lot of circus and pole classes. (If you give 'aerial hoop' a google search you'll see what I mean). I enjoy Zumba and Yoga, which partly battles against the high amount of cake Scott and I consume.
We are both pretty big geeks, and love Board Games, RPG's, and video games, and our cat, Jingle. We have a library full of our favourite books, and I have a nice airy sewing room to attempt creating clothes in. We attend a few Steampunk and Retro events a year (I love the 1900's, 20's and 50's), and finally enjoy a good beer or wine. We're not big party-goers, but will always happily go to the pub, usually taking a board game in tow to pass the time :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After living in a few different parts of the UK, I'm really proud of where I live now and love showing people around.
My partner introduced me to Couch surfing, and after hosting a few guests myself in Bristol we went backpacking around Europe, CS'ing along the way. I really really enjoyed the experience, and couldn't wait to get back and provide a respite from hostels and hotels for people in our own home. I loved the cultural exchange aspect, since our holiday I've been inspired to attempt to learn Polish and German, and cook a lot more fresh food.

Music, Movies, and Books
Voracious reader with quite eclectic taste, everything from Harry Potter, to Life of Pi, to the Handmaid's tale. I especially love Robin Hobb and Terry Pratchett.
Favourite movies is again pretty eclectic. Stardust is always a firm favourite, and I really enjoy Super hero movies. Guardians of the Galaxy, X-men, the Avengers. Hidden Figures, most musicals and a bit of Disney always cheers me up :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can share our culture, our langauge, our cat for cuddles if he's feeling like it (he's a bit grumpy), and our Netflix TV while you're in our home :P
We can show you around Bristol - Scott has hosted a lot of walking tours which can be short (half a day) or long (13 miles - seeing EVERYTHING!) and can tailor what we show you to your interests - there's so much to see in Bristol whatever your interests.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach pole and rock n roll dancing, and circus! (Although Juggling is still tricky for me) Also sewing - rather useful when travelling :) I can teach you how to bake a cake, and some good cheap meal recipes.
Scott and I have so many hobbies that it's a curse really - we are interested in everything! Languages and cultures are always of interest, and any new skill we can learn is appreciated
