Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Connect with people all over the world and get acquainted with them. Learning things about other cultures that I cannot read in books or the internet.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books:
I like to read historic books from the 19th and early 20th century to get a better insight into the mindset of the people that shaped our past. Kafka, Fontane, Mann, May, Jünger, Grass come to mind. Currently I started with Zdeněk Svěrak to get a better grasp on the Czech language and culture

Movies:
So far I have enjoyed movies from nearly all genres of film. Except romantic comedies but I am usually open to new things.
I particularly like films that subjectively "feel" real. Be it by setting and design, plot or acting.

Music:
I rarely listen to music since I never really got acquainted with it. There are a couple of songs I really enjoy - particularly from church or film soundtracks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did plenty of stupid things and can tell you a lot about that. But to answer the point:
The most amazing thing recently was abandoning my life in Germany and trading it for the Czech life. I thank God for sending me to Prague to amazing people and amazing things.
