Overview
About Me
I grew up on an Organic Bison ranch in Saskatchewan, Canada, and am studying sustainable farming practices, holistic nutrition, body work, dance, movement and art. I love to create things-food, art, practices, spaces, relationships, understandings. Cooking with wild and local foods is a big passion for me! I am interested in living an alive, well rounded life, and do my best to immerse myself in situations and practices that support this process. I have a deep appreciation for community and connection, to me this is one of the greatest riches you can have in this life, and it makes me so happy to have this community spread throughout the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm Couchsurfing as a way to connect more intimately with the places I travel and with the people and culture there. I have experienced the dramatic difference of getting to know new places as an outsider who is disconnected from the locals, versus staying with a local and getting an inside view of what life is like in this new place I am in. I love getting to know a city through shared human experience. I also love that Couchsurfing offers a platform on a global scale for community building and connection to one another as humans, supports sustainable travel, and is an action towards affirming trust in the goodness of people. I love that the Couchsurfing community are people who are more interested in making friends in this world than strangers.
