About Me
Hello, I am Sheila - I am currently traveling Japan but will be ending it real soon. While I was a full time worker before, I travel as often as I could whenever I could score a seat sale a year before I travel. I'd say I'm a little frugal - whenever I travel to different places - I would look for an affordable place to stay that would meet my necessities such as hostels or if someone could offer a place to stay especially if I have friends who's living in this place where I will be visiting. It's been 10 years since I started traveling - I just traveled around my country - Philippines - (though not all the islands but few of them :) I have also been to 16 countries .. I'd say that I usually do spontaneous travel though I have a very limited travel time as I can't stay for longer period since I have a full time job before but now - I am unemployed so just trying to make the most of my freedom for now. But yes, whenever I travel - i don't usually follow the itinerary that I have prepared because sometimes, I really get lost especially that I don't really have a sense of direction but I love the fact that sometimes we need to get lost in order to find our own self.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As mentioned, I do trips on a budget as I only need basic necessities. I'm hoping to meet some friends here or locals whom I could trust and who are willing to share their home in a couple of days as I don't really travel for a longer period of time. I have a clear record - i know that somehow there might be some trust issues here but for those who would offer me to couch surf in their house - surely you won't regret it. I have tried doing this same thing in Korea - where they offer a free accommodation and in all fairness - it went well. I actually did that again for the 2nd time around when I visited the place again and I love it. I also got to use the platform while I was in Tokyo and Sapporo - so far my hosts were amazing. And most importantly - the essence of traveling is to make friends, know everyone's culture, live like a local and I think couchsurfing is a good avenue to maximize this thing called travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Music - though not all but most of it. Books, I love this Never Look Back by Lesley Pearse - that's my all time favorite. I also love the stories of Julie Garwood - in fact I have a collection but not all of it - most are historical romance. Movies, I'd say Avatar captivated my heart. It was a long movie - but I just love the cinematography, the script - the story itself-almost everything about the movie that I want to watch it all over again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just before I ended up the year 2018 - I gave back to these unfortunate fellow filipino who doesn't have shelter and who were just sleeping at this side of the street. It wasn't really that extravagant - it's more of like a grocery items that I know somehow - they will have something to eat in the meantime. Whenever I feel blessed - I always think of sharing this to these unfortunate.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to sing :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm so bubbly especially if I feel like this person shows interest about what I do - you can't stop me in talking/sharing a lot of things. Just let me know if you feel irritated already...just kidding.. But really - I can teach you how to sing - vocalize first - i was a choir member before so I know a little bit of techniques or preparation ...hahaha...but seriously - if you want to know...I would be happy to share these experiences I have/had.
