Howdy all fellow travellers!

I am a curious soul always in search of new places, new friends and new experiences. I'm currently travelling with my boyfriend Mikko for approximately one year. We've spent the last four months in South East Asia and planning to conquer Australia and New Zealand next. Can't wait to get there!

We love music (Mikko is a drummer, Malla loves to dance) and sports (Malla plays volleyball and beach volley, Mikko football). We are working as journalist and photographer and writing stories to Finnish media. We also write a blog, you can find it in www.huimatravel.fi.

We are not too interested in the crowdy places and the tourist attractions but rather the everyday life of locals. We also love nature: hiking in the jungle, forest or a mountain, snorkeling and swimming in the sea and just relaxing under the stars and chilling the sun. Animals are also very close to our heart and the host having pets is only a huge plus.

The most important thing for us is to meet new, awesome people. We appreciate bad (in a good way) sense of humor, relaxed mind, open-hearted view of the world and love for adventure.

Mikko's favorite band is Behemoth and favorite movie The Butterfly Effect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing the we've done is to quit our jobs, sell almost all of our belongings and to start travelling without a schedule or a plan. The best decision we've ever made. We've never been happier than now and felt more free.

We can teach you the second hardest language in the world, Finnish. If you are interested in playing drums or playing beach volley, we've got you covered as well.
