Overview
About Me
We really love travelling and getting to know people from all over the world. Being best friends for very many years we loved traveling New Zealand and Australia together and made some amazing couch surfing experiences there.
At the moment we both study in Germany. (Kathrin does psychology in Würzburg and Juli electrical engineering in Erlangen).
Apart from making music we really like any kind of outdoor activities but also don't mind relaxed sorts of things like cooking, watching movies or so! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Simply as we already met the most amazing people doing couchsurfing! That's why we really want to keep doing it! Due to both having very limited space in our shared flats and the pandemic we so far haven’t been able to host surfers many times! But luckily Juli recently moved into a bigger flat that finally makes hosting possible! We can’t wait to host more often and give back the hospitality that we encountered many times! ❤️
Interests
Kathrin:
I generally love literally everything that is connected to music and dance. I enjoy different kind of dances, salsa and bachata are my current favourite dance styles !
Apart from dancing and making music I just enjoy spending as much time as possible with my family and friends or with meeting new people, of course!
Besides uni, I am part of Jibbern, a social start-up encouraging intercultural living and diversity in Germany. Also, I’m leading a local Unicef student’s group to help promote children’s rights worldwide.
Juli:
Like Kathrin I really love music and apart from playing the guitar and singing I also enjoy playing the violin or the Ukulele. Furthermore I love sports and being outside which is why I'm always down for a Spikeball match or a run and usually go skiing in winter. But I also always enjoy just reading, watching movies and meeting up with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
We enjoy listening to a bit of everything pretty much: from Ed Sheeran and Jack Johnson up to Twenty One Pilots, Sticky Fingers, Imagine Dragons and some D&B!
Juli: I like a lot of different genres. I enjoy a good thriller as well as popular scientific books about sustainability.
Kat: I really enjoy reading books on discrimination like racism and sexism to educate myself and become more aware of injustice and be able to take action against it.
Juli: Some of my favourite movies are Moonlight and Ex Machina but I also love classics like Inception, Lord of the rings or The Intouchables
Kat: Hidden figures, Green book, The pursuit of Happiness
Teach, Learn, Share
As we both play the guitar, we can show you some basic skills for example how to play some easy chords if you're interested in that! I - Kathrin - can also teach you some dancing (ballet, salsa, bachata or so ;) ) if you're keen on trying that! ;) surely we can also teach you German or teach you some of our favourite recipes 😋
What I Can Share with Hosts
A helping hand wherever needed :) we can do some cookings for example (as long as you don't mind vegan/vegetarian food), we really enjoy doing that anyways! And of course we can offer you the very best company! (:
