About Me

I have my bachelor's degree in physics but continue to study, even though I always struggle with what to do with it.
My problem is: Not being interested in something only happens on rare occasions, which is fortunate most of the time but what makes it hard to choose a path to follow.

I am highly susceptible to passion and enjoy people who are passionate about something or who share that feeling when I am:).

Recently Nietzsches popular imperative "Become what you are!" gained importance to me.
So I value a strong connection to oneself and consider that to be a goal in my own life.

On a less serious note I love hanging out, playing cards, doing activities, watching movies or whatever, basically enjoying myself with others:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being social and being curious in my opinion are some of most beautiful properties of being human:) Living following these properties and giving others the possibility to do so is an important idea and beneficial to both the individual and society, i feel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While hitchhiking up a mountain on the caribbean island St. Lucia a pickup slowed down near my friend and me and Gabrielle, our previous driver and a cheerful and accomodating island expert, screamed "RUN!" and we threw our bags and after them ourselfs on the trunk of the pickup truck and adjusted mid-drive. We screamed a few words in the operators cab and interpreted the shreds of noise and hand signs we got back through the slipstream as convincing enough that we'd be heading in the right direction.
We didn't want to miss this experience even if we would be heading elsewhere, you can reach every place on that island by feet within a day or two after all.
So there we were riding a 675 horsepower-rollercoaster through the jungle-roads of St. Lucia, enjoying the slipstream messing with our hair and blurring our sights, we'd only take cover behind the cab to enjoy the beautiful colors of the caribbean sun setting.
Finally meeting the operators of this bull of a car and our adrenaline-dealers Allie and Agnes (thank you friends!), we all refueled, actual fuel for the car and beer for the rest, and off we went flying into a warm caribbean night with two friends and a thing they call a car.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Become what you are!"
Achieving that needs one to reflect on himself and the best way to do that is through communication in colourful company. For that matter teaching and learning is the same thing in good company.
