Hey! My name is Patrick. Normally I travel with my girlfriend but I am also doing some solo travel here and there. I am 25 years old and live in the Netherlands in the beautiful city of Groningen.

My girlfriend and I met in Australia when we were 18. You can guess that travelling is what we love doing! We have had some very nice trips since. We are both vegan and love trying vegan food all over the world. HappyCow is an app we use very often.

Currently I am solo travelling in Eastern-Asia!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we love to meet new people and learn new things from them.

It is always good to meet people from other countries because sometimes they have other ideas or just know stuff because they are from a certain country. Which makes no conversation boring.

Interests

Travelling is just our favorite interest. We love to see new cultures. Although we also like our Dutch culture and going home is not a punishment. We have recently discovered the sauna which we really like. We both like to read books but only if University allows us in our spare time. Since reading our Uni books covers a lot of our time. We like hanging out with our friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music depending on my mood. Suze is generally into pop whereas we can also enjoy rock, jazz and blues. Suze her favorite movie is Interstellar, I also rate this one highly and we love to watch Friends and How I met your mother. Our genre of books are all over the place. Sometimes I tend to enjoy non-fiction a tad more but that can always change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a scooter through different countries in Asia. The feeling of being free and melting with the hectic travel there is something I really like.
