Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Sophie and I'm obsessed with travelling (surprise!). I love getting to know other people's culture and their stories.
I'm open-minded, spontaneous, easy-going and a nature lover. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've already met a bunch of amazing people through couchsurfing and we share memories that I'll never forget. Couchsurfing is such a nice possibility to immerse yourself in another culture and that is what travelling is about for me. Especially since Covid, I'm craving for inspiring connections.
Interests
laughing, art and music. 🍷
I could spend days in art museums and I love dancing to good music during warm summer nights. Talking about different philosophies, religions and ways of life is something really interesting to me and therefore I can listen for hours when someone has unique stories to share.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't describe how much I'm in love with any kind of culture! I love music in general and I'm always happy when someone lets me discover new artists or songs. One of my favourite hobbies when bored is to create new Spotify playlists. :D
The list of beautiful and inspiring movies I've watched is really, really long. I'm feeling like a little child on Christmas when someone gives me new suggestions. Particularly, I adore the work of Xavier Dolan and Lars von Trier.
Books (sooo many, but here are a few one that impressed me):
- Siddhartha (Hesse)
- Brave New World (Huxley)
- The Neverending Story (Ende)
- Almost every book of the author Walter Moers
- And yesss, I also love the Hunger Games Trilogy and Harry Potter!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Walking a part of the camino Santiago de compostela was a really enriching experience and I would like to continue my way at one point. I listened to the sounds of nature and tried to reconnect with all the messy parts of myself.
- I've spent one school year in Québec - it was an incredibly wonderful time. I met so many lovely people with whom I'm still writing letters once in a month. Often, I dream about being able to travel to the past just to relive that experience.
- One of my favourite trips was three weeks in Chile with my hockey team. We were visiting Valparaiso, the Atacama desert, Santiago and lots of other beautiful places that I'll always remember. The sun burning on my skin, the wonderful music accompanying the sounds of the waves, the never-ending laughters (actually, me and a friend kept laughing without interruption for more than 1 hour - still my personal record!). I'll never forget all these things.
lol. can't decide on just one experience - sorry for spam :D
