About Me
Hello there! I'm a 22 year old student who is currently doing an exchange semester in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Spending time at the other side of the world in this beautiful country makes that I would like to travel to the other Indonesian islands as much as possible. Because I of this and the fact that I would love to meet the people of this country, I will be looking for places to stay.
Then about me, I study International Relations and Philosophy back home, which makes that I love to talk to people with different world views and different backgrounds. During the time that I would stay around I'll therefore be up for nice conversations. Besides that I appreciate music, which I make myself as well, so if there are some instruments around (preferably a cello) I would be up for a jam session. Moreover, I mostly spend my time with warmhearted people, practicing Pencak Silat, writing, meditating and cooking.
Hope to meet you some day!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I probably fit the average couch surfers profile by saying that I like to see new places. But preferably not from an ivory tower but by experiencing it from the local level. Couchsurfing is probably as local as it gets. My student budget would by the way also not allow for an ivory tower, luxury style of traveling ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
There are some great works in terms of music pieces, movies and books. I basically love all three art forms. I listen a lot to Jazz myself but when it comes to playing music, I play classical pieces on the cello. Movies are entertaining as well as great ways of telling a story. I have no preferences but enjoy all genres (except horror). This also counts for books, I basically read everything I can get my hands on but for those of you who are not familiar with the works of Paulo Coelho, its worth to read it. The Alchemist is my favorite.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climb the Rinjani in Lombok, Indonesia. Although climbing it without being in a very fit state wears not the best thing I could do. I had to recover for almost a month afterwards but the view and climbing with a nice group of people made it absolutely worth it.
