Overview
About Me
I'm a university student who likes to hop around countries and continents. Similarly to everyone, I read, travel, eat, sleep, hike and party, in various orders depending on the time of the year, and on the year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with people during my travels - locals, fellow travelers, travelers that visit the country/city where I am living at the moment. Sometimes I show people around, sometimes other people dedicate that time to me, sometimes we explore together. We share stories and talk about meaningful and meaningless things alike. Every encounter like this enriches me as a person and I like to think that I have similar effect on others.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like to listen to traditional music of wherever I visit. After moving to Indonesia in 2017, I spent seven months cruising through the country's most famous artists and songs. Some now have an important place on my All Time Playlist.
Sometimes I listen to Estonian folk music, sometimes to hard German rock, sometimes it's k-pop that captures my attention and sometimes a song by Lady Gaga or Boy Epic solves everything. It varies with my mood, the weather and the season, and of course, the location!
I try to read as much as possible - Bill Gates once said (maybe he didn't and someone made it up, but it's a good idea nevertheless) that he reads one book every week. I tried that - and failed, five times in the last five years. In 2020, I came close - I read 43 books that year and I hope that 2021 onwards can be even more successful. Usually it's biographies, political or historical books that I prefer, however I am open to anything. Next on my plate are the Robert Galbraith books about Cormoran Strike, one of the few fiction books on my to-read list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. During a summer program in high school we were invited for a tour of the White House. Pretty unforgettable experience.
2. Was almost forced to marry a person I met five minutes prior, once.
3. Any volcano/mountain hike I've ever done! I'm scared of heights to any time I manage to overcome the fear is an incredible experience.
