About Me

Hi, I'm a Hungarian university student living in Krakow at the moment for an academic year to learn polish language. At home my major is russian filology and my minor is english filology. I consider myself as an open, friendly guy who likes to make friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My journeys were usually organised and I didn't really have to do anything but being there. So I want to have something more spontaneous which can give me an essence of the place where I go.

Interests

I'm juggling since 11 years, I did Hungarian folk dance for 10 years and I'm always looking for opportunities to try other cultures dances or foods or just to get know what traditions, celebrations they have. I learned piano playing for 13 years and also can play a bit of percussion (I have my own darbuka :) ) and I started to learn guitar and harmonica. I like traveling, I've already been to 15 countries all around Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have favourites, I'm usually interested in everything. Unfortunately I don't read books currently because of my studies. But I like poems and short stories probably a bit more than novels. If had to point out something exact I would say modern and postmodern literature of the US and and russian avant-garde.

For music I usually say that what I consider as music, I like it. It means I like any kind of music from classical to contemporary. Only the goa, techno and similar monotonous music is something I don't like.

About movies it's the same. I'm quite critic and really like to watch theatre performances as well. For me not the genre is important but the story, characters and the meanings if I can find it or not.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was on the stage with my dance assemble in front of more than 100 thousand people of audience in Transylvania.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're interested in Hungarian folk dance or juggling, that would be my pleasure to teach you some of them :)
