I am an Evolutionary Biologist, trying to get a PhD in Germany. Working on reptiles for the last 7 years in some amazing forests of the Western Ghats and the Andaman Islands in India but now trying to pave my way into other pacific islands! I sketch, paint and I read a lot of books (not nerdy ones).
My field of study is too specialized, so I always end up making friends with people who are connected somehow. So, I would love to meet new people, apparently not-so-connected in this small world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My work takes me to several places every year. And wherever I go, I try to meet people who live there - so I try Airbnb or hostels or Couchsurfing. I really like Couchsurfing because its informal, not driven by money and quite personal when it comes to choices. I mean, you are looking for accommodation and see so many faces in profile pictures staring at you- how would you choose?! Luckily, apart from just faces, there is a small description of interests and that makes a huge difference - it is indeed a great way to filter out places that would not suit to my interests.

Harry Potter series is my favorite fiction series, I grew up with it and means a world to me. Apart from that, I like reading John Grisham, Jeffry Archer and Sidney Sheldon.
