About Me
Hi!
My husband, Edis, and I are travelling Europe together in our car for 8 months (from October 2022 to July 2023). We want to experience all of the different cultures in Europe.
We got married the summer of 2022, wuhuu! We got to know each other in Spain in 2018 at a bar
We share a few passions including socialising, cooking, hiking, nature, watching movies and drinking coffee
- About Victoria
My name is Victoria (24 y/o). I grew up on a tiny island in Denmark and therefore have a very strong connection to the sea. I love to swim in it, sail on it and look at it - as it keeps me calm
Since I moved from home I have lived about 1 year in Spain, Malaga, and a few years in Aarhus. I really enjoy being close to both the city, sea and forest. Back in Denmark I work as a Personal Injury Claim Handler (insurance), taking care of claims when people get hurt. I love helping people and find that this value drove me to this profession.
I have three younger sisters and all of us have been an FDF'ere (danish scout group-members), most of our childhood, and for me also early adulthood. I have met a lot of different people and travelled quite a bit because of this hobby.
Already now letting you know, my sense of humor can be a bit cheeky, I like to make fun of myself and goof around a bit.
- About Edis
Hi, I am Edis :)
I was born in 1997, so 25 years old at the time of writing this. I was born in Denmark and have lived there almost my entire life, except for a brief period of 1 year where i lived in Spain, here I met my amazing wife Victoria, who coincidentally is also from Denmark.
I love traveling, competing, sports, gaming, watching movies and listening to music. I can be a bit of a nerd, so if you have some nerdy interests, please let me know, im sure that can be a great conversation-starter :)
I've worked with sales and support for a long time, but i think when we come home from our 8 months of travel i want to start studying Math and Economics back home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We would like to meet new people and hopefully make some new friends!
We also want to experience new cultures, ways of life and food. We hope to have some laughs, good conversations and love cooking together, if you'd like to share your kitchen with us.

Edis: Does not really listen to podcasts.

These are kind of mixed for both of us since we listen to many different genres, but we listen to a lot of the same music.
- The Minds of 99 (danish rock/electronic band)
- The Weekend
- Bad Bunny
Favorite books right now:
V: The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k
E: I have not read a book in a while, but in general I think the books that have interested me the most are all in the fantasy-Genre, think Lord of the rings, Game of thrones, Artemis Fowl and stuff like that.
Favorite movies:
V: I am a huge fan of the Harry Hotter series. I generally prefer either horrer movies or rom-coms (I know...)
E: I am a bit of a movie buff, i like Drawn out movies, thrillers especially, fantasy, sci-fi and dramas. Sometimes action movies as well. E.g. "Shutter island", "No country for old men", "Lord of the rings", The godfather", "Django Unchained", "The hateful 8" and maaaaany more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Victoria:
I like to make lists and have trouble choosing, so here is a list of the top of my head...
- Interail trough Europe when I was 15 y/o
- Moving to Spain by myself
- Taking scubadiver certificate in Koh Tao
- Going on this trip trough Europe
Edis:
I've lived in spain for a whole year. When i finished my "Gymnasium" in Denmark (High school, 18-19yo) I traveled to Spain to work with telemarketing (I know..). Living there I met so many amazing people, my wife Victoria included, experienced so many amazing days and nights that i would never want to be without. Many of my best friends are from that time as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
Victoria:
I love to learn about different cultures, languages and lifestyles. But when it comes to learning new skills I can get a bit frusturated if I don't get it right on the first few tries - don't worry I'm working on it.
I am a great listener - I really enjoy to understand different veiwpoints and asking questions. I'm not the best storyteller - but hopefully I will inprove this skill soon!
Edis:
I love learning, and sharing experiences. I try to always learn from the thing I do, no matter what it is. I like understanding the world around me as much as possible (in a healthy way though :P)
I love teaching others as well, it feels like a personal victory being able to help someone understand something, and sharing my knowledge.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Victoria :
Cooking a meal, having a fun gamenight, a good talk during a cup of coffee or beer or simply going for a walk
Edis: Conversation, good vibes and a very understanding approach to meeting and hanging out (if you dont want to talk and do stuff constantly, and have a break from the social aspect, that's fine with me as well) I am very neat, especially around strangers, i am also very respectful about your stuff and your space.
