About Me

My name is Anna, I am 24, I was born in Barcelona and I have always lived in a city close to it. I've just started working as a doctor, soon specializing in neurology.
I really like meeting new people from all over the world and exchanging experiences and ways of living. I've done an Erasmus program in Turku (Finland) and there I had the chance to try couchsurfing with a friend, which was an amazing experience, recently, I've finished a Traineeship in Padova (Italy), from where I got the opportunity to couch again (this time in the unique city of Napoli!).
I really like music (I also like pretending I can play guitar - still a beginner, must admit), photography, biking, hiking, going out for beers with friends, skiing, reading...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done Couchsurfing with a friend in Finland, and was a really great experience. I really think is one of the best ways to travel and really get to know the place you're visiting through the most important part of it: the people living there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, and specially I love discovering new music and going to live concerts/music jam sessions if I have the chance.
I've always liked quite old music, rock classics, indie, modern country, but also jazz, reggae... variety: Simon&Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, U2, Muse, RHCP... to Zac Brown Band, Walk Off the Earth... Mumfor&Sons, Kakkmaddafakka, Franz Ferdinand...
And specially, music in different... let's say "Romanic languages" (those I can understand), to say some examples: I love Manel (catalan group), Izal (spanish one), Fabrizio De André (italian), Georges Brassens (french)...
And recently I just can't stop listening to Ara Malikian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to say, but I think I would choose my Erasmus in Finland. I could have never imagined that I would be doing sauna and then running in my swimming suit at -30ºC to reach a hole in the sea and dip into the frozen ocean. I could have never imagined that I would be camping outdoors in the middle of the snow, trying to keep the tent warm with a rudimentary stove...

Teach, Learn, Share

I really love talking and learning about other culture and peoples thoughts. I also will always be happy to exchange cooking recipes (with practical application, of course!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Will to talk, discover the place and meet new people, cooking some spanish/catalan specialities, sharing interests... and a friend in Barcelona.
