We are a German couple, who love to travel and meet people. We are very interested to learn about you and your culture. We both enjoy very much to be as much time as possible in nature to visit remarkable spots there and also enjoy to share this activities with others, who also love to travel. We love to simplify life and are interested also in spiritual questions. Uwe is an excellent, passionated cook, who prepares meals from all over the world - caused of his experiences of his extended trips around the world during 2 and a half years.
We are both vegetarians and no-smokers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We believe that the great idea of the Couchsurfing community should be supported. So we want to support people who like to travel and share the same passion that drives also us out into the world again and again. And when we travel around the world for a year in 2018/19, we too will be glad to be welcomed by you.
The people are a big family and it is inspiring for everyone to his inner developement to have the opportunity to get to know as many people and cultures as closely as possible in the direct encounter between people in everyday life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are so many extraordinary experiences nearly all days - very quiet and small ones and others, more exciting ones, that it´s impossible to write about one of them. But we are sure, when we talk about life, everyday life and traveling, while we´ll meet, then everyone - you and us - will be able to tell many remarkable, crazy and touching moments and experiences.
Because life itself is great.

Teach, Learn, Share

Although I work as a therapeutic teacher with people with disabilities, I believe that we humans are not in the world to teach our fellow human beings, but rather to learn from other people in terms of inspiration and enrichment. We can share all our experiences, light and dark, and thus learn from each other in this way.
Uwe in his profession as IT-freelancer works as a supporter and so - as "supporters" - we see ourselves: We want to support each other and everyone we meet, because we are also supported in different ways again and again and love people in general.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Uwe cooks passionately - especially in foreign countries and foreign kitchens. Therefore, we would be happy to cook for you. We are happy to share with you our experiences - outer and inner - if you are interested. But we also like to make ourselves useful for you - in the house or around the house - because we are both very skilled in crafting things.
Renate as a therapist, Qi Gong and Yoga practitioners can advise you on physical issues and show helpful exercises to you.
We can both give you interesting tips on healthy nutrition and medicinal plants.
Renate loves to sing and make music herself. If you are also a music enthusiast we can share this passion together.
But we are generally open and empathetic: If you prefer more your peace, we move around alone. If you want company, then we enjoy it with you.
