There are many people who promote themselves as accepting guests, when in fact they did not host anyone for years 🤔😱
Always check their references to see when they last hosted anyone and save yourself the hassle of making a request 📝

2. Hosts that inform you that there is a secret, word, in their profile, usually are wasting your time ⌚😜

This is very real in the world today. One needs to take care. Many people just dislike travelers and foreign people. 🙄🤔😒

5. Hitchicking or surfhiking must be one of the most difficult ways to travel.
Europe, Africa, South America I found difficult and basically a waste of time. Reason being, in my opinion, is Because of governments social engineering.
Covid restrictions on global citizens have changed the characteristics of people. These days people want isolated lifestyles. They live in their own little world, seeking comfort and wealth. Thus they distance themselves from hitchers and others.
