About Me

Unfortunatly i can't host right now , sorry about that :(

I'm Jan, an 19 years old guy from Germany, new to backpacking and Couchsurfing, who also isn't very good at writing descriptions about himself. I traveled for like six months and didn't use that much Couchsurfing unfortunately. However, I want to be a host now. Couchsurfing in the German countryside. You should try that out!

What does Wülperode offer?
Well, it's village of 230 people, and actually a pretty beautiful one. Seriously, plenty of green, old houses, nature, chill people, everything. It's in the Vorharz region (central Germany), nearby towns and cities are easily reachable.

Wülperode is a five minutes drive from a highway and easy to reach by car.
Some activities:
-Visit the historic old cities of Goslar, Wernigerode or Quedlinburg, a half hour drive (they also have many festivals and christmas markets throughout the year!)
-Hike, enjoy some nature (or do some winter sports) in the Harz Mountains and National Park, half hour drive
-just chill at the lake that's only one kilometer away, read a book and go for a swim
-cycling is also nice, it's actually my hobby
-you want a bigger city? Braunschweig (Brunswick) is 45 minutes away and offers culture, shopping, good food and more
-learn about history, Wülperode is next to the old German-German border
and the Harz has some cool castles
-you are into fishing? There are some ponds for that nearby
-just hang out together!

I think you would enjoy it here. Just send me a nice request!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's an awesome way to meet locals who can show you their city from a perspective you often don't get when you're just a tourist. When I was Couchsurfing with my sister in the summer it was a great experience.
And why not be host also?

Interests

I like writing my diary and my blog, my sport of choice would be cycling, but I also like to watch soccer. I like to read, mostly novels but also literature about history and politics. And I would call myself a dog and cat enthusiast, I would love to have a pet but it currently isn't possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite book would be Life of Pi, my favorite band is Gurr (you should check them out) and seeing Dunkirk in an IMAX cinema was probably the most amazing movie experience I ever had.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled along the Danube river with my sister this summer. Travelling in Israel, Palestine, Eastern Europe for more than six months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more and enjoy listening to stories. And of course i hope to return the favor.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A relaxed guest open for pretty much everything. I know everyone writes that about himself, but in my case it's actually true I think. Even though I am not a great cook I enjoy helping in the kitchen. And if you are interested in politics, history, video games and lots of other stuff, we can also talk about that!
