I've never really liked flying. Especially to faraway countries. The shock is too big for me, getting on the airplane in my own world and arriving after some hours in a world I dont know. With a different climate, other music, strange animals and especially different people. I want to see and feel everything change.
And to show some respect to the greatness of the globe, I wanted to try to hitchhike to India. On my trip I wanted to meet people, cultures, my own limits and much more. I left home beginning of Oktober and the 15th of November I started hitchhiking from north Italy.
The route I wanted to take is through Greece, Turkey, Iran, Oman.

I’m now back home and trying to get used to normal life again.

The best way to get to know a place is to hang out with the locals, I think it's important and a lot of fun to meet different people, there's a lot of really cool people on this platform, enabling each other as a community to travel this way.
A good friend of mine once said that there should be no right of voting for people that have never been more that 150 km away from their hometown. I guess there's some truth in that.

Friends, foreign people, having conversations with people I do not share any language with.
Growing up on a houseboat I was hooked on everything with water since I was 5. Thats when I started learning to sail, swim, kite. Later I got hooked on surfing also.

Whilst travelling I want feel as liberated as I can. I need a backpack, clothes and shoes.

(I've done a lot of couchsurfing already, just in a more basic form. Thats why I also love hitchhiking :))
