Heya, I’m Meli from Aotearoa, home turf! I’m currently going for a bike ride up the country and hope to meet some of you on they way (and gosh darn I’ll need a shower 😬). My motivation is reaching another four square or a giant fruit sculpture or a cafe called The wrinkly Ram, gotta love New Zealand. I’ve traveled in Europe abit, those were the days, I’ve also hitchhiked New Zealand and found I love to travel this country just the same. I look forward to meeting you all and connecting with the NZ Couchsurfing community. When I’m not biking, I’m working in hospitality saving for the next adventure, taking care and facilitating memories for people.

I respect that these are concerning times and understand current reservations to host, I’ll state I’m fully vaccinated and have my vaccine pass if needed!

I wish to follow my passion in venturing though places I haven’t seen, exploring the world through the people that truly make these places what they are. Having someone to share their stories and memories about the place you’re visiting makes it so exiting and an absolute privilege.

Intereses

Art is what makes me so happy, I love to photograph, my favourite photographers are Francesca Woodman, Diane Arbus and William Eggleston and Duane Michaels. I particularly love manual process photography, I like to alter what I do with the medium and make it tactile. I also paint, and draw and did printmaking for a while. Of course I enjoy to travel and spend as much time as I can meeting all the wonderful people of this world.
