About Me
Total wanderer Eh 🇨🇦! After graduating from high school, I took a one-way flight to Hawaii, then another to Japan, then Tasmania and just kept booking whatever was available from where I was at the time until I had circumnavigated the earth with only a backpack of clothes, a bottle of water and a bar of soap.
I walked between Australian cities amomgst screaming dingos for days in the desert, prayed in the mountains with Buddhist monks in Thailand, climbed active volcanoes in Hawaii, shucked oysters and worked on an apple orchard in Tasmania, was initiated into a Maori tribe of New Zealand, made sushi and ran from wild boar in Japan, snuck into a freaky bus in Morocco, went bar hopping in the night life of Spain, and walked the heights of the ruins of ancient castles in Portugal..
I have hours of incredible, life-threatening, heart pumping, exotic stories from all over this precious planet to share with hosts I get the honor to stay with. None of this travel would have been possible without Couchsurfing hosts. Thank You! :)
I'm a personal trainer, avid cook, minimalist, tea-head hipster, landscape artist, summit hunter, endurance cyclist/hiker, and soon to be yoga teacher. Can't wait to share languages, meals, and cultures with you that I've gathered up on my journey, and of course, those of my home in Canada 🇨🇦
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do say "Eh," and I do love maple syrup, but I know there is more to Canada than that, and I want to share it. Couchsurfing allows people to go a step further in their travels and become immersed in the culture of a place by joining a family, a tribe, a friendship and experiencing first hand the beauty of human life, the stories of time, participate in traditions and share. That's what I want to do. I want to learn from you, cook recipes I picked up on my travels for ya, and share my stories and experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Host family to a traveller from Mexico for three years so that she can continue an education in Canada, and we have learned much of eachother's homeland life. I learned what a true Taco was and how to use lime and salt with everything for example! 😂 I taught her french and to play Piano, she told stories of catching marine beetles at the beach and buying barrels of fruits for just a few pesos. She taught me about Mayans and Aztecs and Latin American history. The experience was life changing and included many interesting discoveries of the importance and beauty of culture and history in different countries. It was a lot of fun and I was inspired to meet her family one day and experience local/real Mexican livelihood in the heart of Mexico. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I have travelled to France, Germany, Poland, Amsterdam, Holland, ALL over the Caribbean, England/the UK, Florida, and Montreal, both the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, Belgium, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Hawaii, Thailand, Tasmania, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, Italy .... experiencing all kinds of amazing and impactful things:
English Breakfast Tea and Cucumber Sandwiches, rain that never ends, worlds made almost entirely of flowering tulips like melting rainbows atop a floating horizon, old decaying shipwrecks full of untold stories and hidden treasures, white cockatoos nesting, midevil torture chambers, 700year old buildings and castles, millions of tiny blue baby starfish in the briny rubbles of a crystaline sea, hermit crabs swapping shells with their neighbours, raging white rapids carrying salmon up to breeding grounds, lush tropical rainforests full of howling nature, the most delicious french cheeses and breads, oysters and german butcher meats, master sushi chefs, the Canada 15O memorial at Vimy Ridge, climbing mountains, canyons, an old mine cart track which continues straight up to the peak of a rainforest mountain from the world war near pearl harbour, volcanoes, and ash dunes and feeling the breeze flow around your body at the peak, the historical gravity of Auschwitz and the Nazi occupation in France, the original Shakespearean texts, the Louvre art museum, giant ants swarming on their victim, the Eiffel Tower, Wild caught clams and mussels and beach barbecues, volcanic eruptions, 130 earthquakes in a single day and every day for 3 months on the island of Hawaii, Australian desert with wallabies and kangaroos, plateaus, live music and fire festivals, koala forests, harvesting and eating fresh sugar cane, echidnas and the worlds deadliest snake, smashing coconuts at the beach and drinking the refreshing sweet water, aromatic lush rose gardens, trudging through and jumping across crocodile infested creeks, walking all day and night between cities among giant fruit bats, an hour Japanese full body massage, street markets, wild fruits: peaches, pears, apples, bananas, dragonfruit, passion fruit, prickly pears, blackberries, wild ginger. Artist homes, the white cliffs of Denver, sheep for miles and those brave enough to climb the sheer vertical cliffs, diving through coral caves in the shimmering Great Barrier Reef, puffer fish, swimming with sharks, swimming with sea turtles, catching and eating conch, spooking an octopus, eating all the spicy foods in Bangkok “Ped ma!!!”, I ate a scorpion!!, watching the soft white clouds lazily rolling over the mountain tops below my peak, harvesting and cutting jackfruit, petting wild kangaroos, talking to a koala for an hour about Canada’s trees and tasty maple (which is certainly better than eucalyptus), singing English songs on Thai streets, running shirtless in the warm rain, participating in an asian biomechanics lecture on eradicating dengue fever through mosquitoes, ...
And so much more!....
