I like to travel and meet new people. I still consider myself new on the couchsurfing but I fell in love with the idea of getting this kind of local perspective. I'm coming from Croatia (if you're a Game of Thrones fan maybe you've heared of Croatian town called Dubrovnik - I'm not from there, I am from the capital called Zagreb.)
Few years ago I was working in Glacier National Park, USA and engaged in some solo traveling and it was amazing.

To enjoy the multicultural enviroment.
Few years ago I had an opportunity of living and volunteering in Portugal and d I found the experience of the locals showing me around and advising me where to go, much more rewarding than just traveling around as a regular tourist.
My first Couchsurfing experience was in Cyprus (my friend arranged it), for two days we were alone as proper tourists but the night we couchsurfed it was just completely different. The host showed us places we would never discovered alone and it was one of the best trips of my life.
