About Me

Hey guys!
I'm an exchange grad student from Germany and studying mechanical engineering at Virginia Tech for the fall term. After my finals I'm trying to visit as many places in the US as possible before returning to Germany in mid January. First stop will be Florida (Miami, Key West and whatever other places come to my mind) and afterwards I'm planning on spending New Year's Eve in NYC, before heading over to the west coast in January. So there will be a lot of different places and I would love to get a bit off the beaten tourist paths.
I would consider myself an openminded person and I'm always down for a good beer while exchanging stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After couchsurfing during my roadtrip with two friends on Thanksgiving break and making really good experiences I decided to make my own profile here. I hope to meet more interesting people on my upcoming travels and I'd like to experience your hometown like a local does!

Music, Movies, and Books

If I had to choose I'd probably say my favorite genre is hiphop, but over the years my music taste changed a lot. Now I'm at the point that I'm not focussing on one type of music anymore but just being open for anything that makes it into my playlists.
I'm not that big of a reader but I love movies and tv series.
'Léon: The Professional' definitely makes it into my top 3 list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess skydiving was one of the most exciting things I've done so far! It combined an incredible adrenalin rush with an amazing view and I would definitely do it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German tongue twisters.
I'd like to learn about your culture.
I can share some useless knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you're interested I can share some stories, travel tips for Germany and other European countries or my small knowledge about automotive engineering.
