Hi Hi!!!

I'm Enric, from Santa Coloma, Catalonia. Recent years I had been living in Tenerife, Spain. The reason I moved there was my occupation; I work as a marine mammal trainer.

That's also why I moved to Vestmannaeyjar two years ago, as I got the chance to work with the belugas that we will move to the sea sanctuary.

I love to do sport. In Tenerife I used to practice calisthenics and beach volleyball during the week days and some hiking and trekking at the weekend.
As you can imagine I bring a healthy life. I don't smoke and I don't drink alcohol neither.

All about nature amazed me and animals are on top of the list. So when you send me a request to stay, please, let me know which is your favorite animal! That will help me to know if you are reading my profile.
I love to visit new wild places with crazy mountains, lakes, volcanoes, glaciares, jungle...

I'm a open-mind person who enjoy meeting new people and traveling, if its possible, far away from home because the culture is more different.
I'm one of that human beings who are not bored alone and don't need much. Although I need a change of scene once in a while.

Now, knowing a little more about me don't hesitate to text me and spend some good time sharing experiences. I'm so excited to meet new amazing souls!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Cause is the best way to know a country and cool people at the same time. Also is an easy way to travel alone, without staying alone!

Interests

Long talks about nature, sports, cultures, travel experiences, etc.
Do some sport, it doesn't matter which, just no basketball please...l don't know why, but i hate it!
I try to spend all day outside, discovering new places while traveling.
I don't like spending time at home, watching TV or sleeping...we have all night to sleep. I'm not a lazy man, always ready to go for an adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Read and enjoy some good films is magnific, but nothing compared with listen good music. For me the best music is that one that when you understand the lyrics you realise that is talking about yourself. One of the best is the Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti. I love his music! Also 80's music and R and B are on my list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Spending some summers with a host family in Boston (MA), USA the first time when I was 16. Now, l have there a lot of friends for the rest of my life.
-Do the best hikes in Norway like the Kerajbolten or Trolltunga, sleeping in a tent in the forest and taking showers in lakes.
-Taking a canoe in the darkness at the Rockies in Alberta, Canada. Sailing in freezing waters in Emerald lake while watching the Milky Way.
-Spent a night watching an active volcano in Iceland while keeping warm because of the lava heat. (Actually I did it 3 times, in two different eruptions).
-Helicopter tour in Grand Canyon, Arizona.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer accomodation, also my time, if the job allows me. During my free days l can show you all around and give you some information about what to do, where to go or where to eat local food.
