Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Though I haven't yet surfed many couches, I would like to give it a chance and meet new people along the way. It's always way more personal staying at a place of someone local and each time I've done so, I feel like I got to know the place way better. Just like when someone visits me, I prefer to walk them through some hidden gems rather than the usual sight-seeing stops, I welcome a similar approach when I stay at someone's home.
