*Hi! My name is Maebh (/Meif/) and I'm 29 and I have the weird but exciting mixture of being half Basque and half Irish!

*I'm coming from the Basque Country, a little country located between Spain and France.
My town, Romo, belongs to the county of Bizkaia, which is famous for it's coast and surfing beaches. There is also a great night live along all the towns in the Basque Country, especially during summer, when every town celebrates their own "jaiak" or "fiestas". And last, but not least, our great gastronomy (I've never been to a place where you can it better than here!) ;)
It can be a bit rainy sometimes, however, having the green mountains that close makes every single drop of rain worthy!

*I am one of the lucky people that can say: "I do for work what really interests me", and it's true. I'm a kidergarden teacher trying to defend the singularity and individuality of every single child that I come across with. Cause each of them is a unique treasure to take care of!

* I'm openminded and respectful, so don't hesitate to write doesn't matter your age, religion, preferences or if you like frogs rather than dogs! The only thing that matters is the color of your heart and how good you can do to this world!

*I have always said that the world is divided in two different types of people; the ones that hear the alarm in the morning and straight away manage to wake up, or the ones that set 6 different alarms and still need a crane to get them out of bed. No need to confess which type I am... until I grab a cup of coffee, and then I can be way too active!

*So, let's see if we would get along and share a beer and some experiences together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to become part of this world because I think it's a warmer way to travel. While hotels' beds can get really cold, sharing a couch at someones makes the experience much more worth it.
It makes you be open to meet and spend some time with people, and, if you are lucky enough, find people who you vibe with and make the "countries to visit" bucket-list even bigger! :)

Music: I love listening to Basque music and supporting small local bands! Although any music topic will bring my interest, especially if it rocks! :)

Books: Even though society is pushing us not to find the right time, one of the biggest pleasures in life is sitting with a hot coffee and a thrilling novel in your hands...

Series: I love getting engaged to series... the worst part is when you don't know where to stop!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'm willing to share any knowledge I posses. I can show you some words in Basque (it's a superpower!) or Spanish.

Learn: I believe that everybody is different and everybody has a story to share from the perspective of their experiences and backgrouds! (But I'd love to learn some guitar or photography skills, I have both guitar and camera, I'm only missing a teacher... So if you offer yourself, you are gaining extra points! :))

Share: Stories, travel passion, coffee, beers, blankets and pillows, and hopefully, an endless friendship!
