My name is Anne. I grew up in Leeuwarden, in the north of the Netherlands and went to Utrecht for studying. Though I am not a student anymore I still live there because it is a really nice place to live and it it very central. That is convenient with my work as a consultant, I've got commissions in different places in the Netherlands. There are many things I like to do in my free time. Those that involve traveling are going into nature, dancing and visiting cities to enjoy their art and culture.
Going into nature means hiking, preferably in some more challenging terrain then the Dutch landscape, but this same landscape is really fit to go skating on the wide bicycle lanes! I also really like Balfolk dancing. Balfolk is a kind of social dance (like salsa or lindyhop), where we dance European dances on live folk music. The dances consist of couple dances, but also mixers and row dances. This is a European scene and I like to travel and go to festivals abroad, for example to France of Belgian. It is nice to meet new people this way. I also enjoy visiting cities and see their art and culture. I studied arts and culture and enjoy to see art and architecture and learn more about it.

Television series for example Call the Midwife, Doctor Who, Mr. Robot, Outlander and many more. I also like to read. My favorite writer is the Dutch writer Arthur Japin. He writes really nice historic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Utrecht Skate Parade on Friday evening in Utrecht (multiple times). This is a 20 km skate tour that takes place in Utrecht every Friday during the spring and summer season. About 300 people join and we skate on the driving lanes (roads get blocked)
