About Me

I'm from Hungary, Szeged, but currently I'm spending my Erasmus semester in the wonderful A Coruña.

Btw, I need an urgent profile update too, but here you go, you can still read my 17 years old me's lengthy introduction:✨

I'm a passionate traveller despite the fact that I'm a quite young one.. After finishing highschool I've started to study dance. And after that? Who knows. My dream is to dance or to work at a physical theater. I'm dancing contemporary but I love folkdance, latin dances,...almost every kind. I would be happy if I could be a digital nomad somehow. To collect experiences about the cultures, religions, tastes, traditions of the world, to capture and write about them. You might say ohh little naive dreamer. But at the moment I can't do anything else but dreaming, exploring, discovering.

I'm a musician, I play on koboz (cobza, 95% that it won't sound familiar), which is a traditional Hungarian instrument. But I won't be confused too much if you give me a guitar or an ukulele. Now I'm more and more into singing and once I would like to learn how to play on a banjo and oud.

I completed my studies in a Waldorf school and thanks to this I was surrouded by creative and open minded teachers who have helped me to take part in a lot of Erasmus+ and other student exchange projects. These projects has helped me find my strengths, weaknesses and helped me to improve.
By these projects I could experience each counrty's hospitality, meet amazing families who were my family as well for a few weeks. To tell the truth I got addicted, I love that sensation I have when I'm with a host family, but also the one when I'm the host.
After these I had the opportunity to attend fancy conferences at fancy places like the European Parliament in fancy clothes with fancy chocolate fountains with fancy formal handshakes...and to sleep in a fancy hotel room of course.
I'm grateful that I could do all these, it was fun, but I miss those families, those deep talks, those little homes. It seemed a more honest way to get to know the locals and the country. That's why I try to hitchike instead of flying and try couchsurf instead of booking a hotel room.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why do we travel? To see new places, to experience other cultures or to step out of our comfortzone? I think couchsurfing is one of the most interesting and intense ways to discover a country. A hotel room can't give you the same values that a local can. It is not about free accommodation. It is about finding the sameness in our differences, sharing thoughts, stories, experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to discover the music of different cultures. So world music and fusions are my favourite. Nowdays I've been into Bulgarian, Armenian and viking folk music...I'm not always a weirdo in case of music, I can also find the beauty from pop to rock in almost everything.
Of course when I was younger I was waiting for that letter from Hogwarts as well but now I mostly read in English or Spanish because of language learning. The last book I've read was Memoirs of a geisha.
Well, I really enjoyed the movies I've seen these days. Wild tales, Le prénom, Inception... But I like those old cheesy films like Love actually and I know the whole script of Mamma mia! as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My school company that produced coloring books became the student company of the year in 2016. I've also created a website that works in a similar way as couchsurfing but it is for Waldorf students from all over the world. As I'm not a computer expert it is more like an idea yet but I would like to improve it so it can be used.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know some of the little gems of this region so I can show you around. What about a nice walk and picnic in the trees, close to the river Tisza? Or would you rather visit a hidden coffe shop close to the city center? I would love to listen to your stories and I can share mines if you want me to.
