About Me

I left France in October 2024 to know more about my Vietnamese roots, and I am spending time in Vietnam and around.

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people because the people I meet are the essence of my travel. This is what makes my journey so wonderful, memorable, and meaningful, this gives a deep lively feeling.

I am a slow traveler as I like to stay in a place and try to get some understanding of local way of living, get some "habits" in a neighbourhood, slowly enjoy simple things. I don't go ticking a list of touristic spots.
For this same reason and because I find some purpose, I like to do some volunteering along my journey.

I'll try to essentialize and will be happy to share more when we chat and meet, so in short :

Upbringing :
I'm "third country kid" with a Vietnamese father and English mother, raised in France with my 2 brothers. I'm very open minded and have eclectic tastes.

Living locations :
I've lived mainly in France Paris area, Marseille, and also a year volunteering/travelling in Argentina, Chile, and Peru.

Hobbies :
I love to walk around cities and go out in the nature/countryside, hang out and talk about the world, read books, meditate, take photographies, cook delicious meals to share, prepare tailor made drinks (mixology, with ou without alcohol) and many other things... If we get to meet, you'll probably know all about it !

Work background :
Before leaving for Vietnam in October 2024 I've worked many years as a building engineer.
Younger I also worked as a summer camp leader for kids (12-18).

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's meet and talk about books, movies, and music!
(Spoiler : I love social science fiction)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At the end of one the coldest winter, I went bare foot, hopping on ice blocks in the river at the Torronto Island, Canada, looking back now that was pretty dangerous...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some French and English, some basic mixology, French cooking recipies, and basic building knowledge if you're interested.
I would love to learn some basic language skills.
I aim to share ideas, discussions, good moments, nice food, and whatever hobby/passion you have!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share my good vibes and kindness, some delicious meals I'll discuss with you and then cook (I love to talk about food and be sure I prepare something special for you), some amazing drinks (I'm into mixology so designing a tailor made drink is a real pleasure).

If you are interested I can share meditation practice, it is accessible to all even if you've never meditated before, I promise you'll enjoy the try!

I can also help you practice French and English with pleasure.

And if you have time, we could share some walks, visits, events, and much more !
