Overview
About Me
Hey, my name is Finja.
I love traveling and not just exploring the surroundings but also getting to know the culture and people of a place. I really enjoy connecting with others and exchanging ideas.
Right now, I’m still living in Cologne, but I’ll be finishing my bachelor’s degree soon, and I’m not quite sure where I’ll go next. Ideally, I’d love to move to a city with lots of nature nearby, where it’s easy to do outdoor activities—but at the same time, it should have a lively, young community and a left/ alternative scene. I’m a bit nervous about moving from Cologne to a small town in southern Germany and experiencing a conservative-right culture shock.
In March, I’m planning a little city tour through Germany to visit a few places that have been on my mind and get a feel for them in real life. It would be really cool to meet some people along the way—maybe even someone who’d like to show me their favorite spots. These don’t have to be the typical tourist attractions (though they can be, of course), but rather the places, events, and people that make your city special to you. I also love being outdoors, hiking, and climbing, so I don’t necessarily have to spend all my time in the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a beautiful way to get in touch with locals and to meet people from all over the world and of course to get and give free accomodation
