About Me
I love being productive outdoors and being with animals eating healthy and taking good care of my self and body. I grew up on decourcy island off grid and moved around a lot my family home is on a farm on mattawa where we host help x and run dog sled teams. I am quite active and Am really into yoga. I’m also really into food systems and sustainability, food foraging and reclaimed food sources and utility. I spend my summers in Bc most recently as a checker for tree planting company but I planted for three years. I love cross country skiing and ski touring as well as dog sledding. In summer I love running canoeing camping water skiing and horse back riding.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just returned from an exchange program with ubc on Haida Gwaii learning Indigenous perspectives on so called reconciliation. This has inspired me to connect with my own culture and travel to Guadeloupe to get to know my routes from my dads side as well as meet him and my family learn my language and history. I think understanding one full routes and identity really assists in being a less harmful Canadian settler. So I am couch surfing while I am in transit to Guadeloupe I fly out from montreal the 7 of February and will be in Ottawa working on my yoga practice I have a month pass at ayo studio and pure yoga studio. I’ll be doing online courses for UW and looking to volunteer at local reclaimed food initiatives and other constructive social discourse movements
