Resumen
Sobre mí
Hey everyone! I’m Arthur, 29 yo, from Brazil! In my 20th I started planning a world trip, which took off in Oct/2017. I’ve been traveling for one year now, in North America (US - 24 different States, including Alaska and Hawaii and Canada - eastern/western) and Oceania (Australia, NZ, Fiji and New Caledonia). I’m heading to Asia next, where I should be exploring for another 10 months. After that, I must head to Africa 6m and Europe 10m. My goals by traveling are meeting new people, experiencing different cultures (and everything that comes with it: people, food, music, traditions, lifestyle, language...), seeing the world with my own eyes and obviously adding some adventure to my life. I’m a nature lover, very up to any outdoor activity, such as hiking, camping, sailing, fishing, surfing, kayaking and so on. I’m easy to get along with, super positive thinking, easy going... I might be more quite in the beginning, but it usually improves with time. I’m also a SSI Divemaster certified.
I’m an entrepreneur back in Brazil and I’d still work remotely while traveling, but more as a business advisor.
I’ve learned a lot so far, have made lifelong friends on the way and I’m pretty sure there’s still lots to come! I’ve had some great experiences while couchsurfing and I’m so thankful for all the community! That’s definitely been the best way to explore the world! I’m not hosting anyone now in Brazil because I’m away from home, but will be more than happy to do that once I get back!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I’ve couchsurfed a few times and all the experiences were absolutely amazing. Meeting local people, sharing experiences and making lifelong friends around the world is what makes it worthwhile. Thanks CS community for making that possible!

Música, películas y libros
Music: I’m very eclectic, so what I’ve been doing is to ask people what they’d listen back in their home countries. I’ve discovered some masterpieces by doing that! Movies: action, adventure, documentaries, true stories... Books: philosophy, economics, politics, history, biographies, business, bit of fiction (used to when I was younger)...
Algo increíble que he hecho
I’ve planned and organized my life in way that I could travel and explore the world for three years! That’s the greatest personal achievement of my 20s! While traveling I’ve had lots of awesome experiences, but if I had to choose one I’d say that cruising the South Pacific Ocean, from Fiji Islands to Australia, on a 35ft sailing boat was the craziest thing I’ve done so far...
Enseña, aprende, comparte
Teach: portuguese, bit of english for non-native speakers, scuba diving, a few cooking recipes, traveling knowledge, business experiences... Learn the local culture: language, cooking, history, values, local lifestyle... Share: my life experiences!
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
Exchange thoughts and experiences! I’d say that’s the best way to improve ourselves...
