I finished school last year and I decided to take a year off before starting university in October. For six months, I've done some voluntary work in the social sector and since March I've been travelling through New Zealand together with a friend. For both of us, this is the first long journey lasting several months.

It's important for me to not just see the tourist attractions of a country but also to get to know the people living there. I think that couchsurfing gives the opportunity to get in touch with the lifestyle and the culture of a country and to meet a lot of nice people :)

In 2016, I took part in an international youth exchange with young people from Tanzania.It was very interesting to get to know to the poeple who lived there and it was an amazing experience.
