About Me
Hey there – I am Andy, nice to meet you! :)
You know, I really love traveling, but there are two big problems traveling with me: Tight budget and my introverted self who wants to be an extrovert. So I guess couch surfing could solve both – right? I love meeting new people, but I won't be the one talking to anyone first. But: If you're open minded and just say "Hi" first, I'll be just as outgoing as you!
Even though I'm kind of pessimistic about the future and like to think of myself as a misanthrope, I guess deep in my heart I'm the exact opposite, a philanthropist. I'm volunteering in our local chapter for disaster relief (THW) and work as PR manager/designer for an inclusion company. I like to think that if everyone just tries to make the world a little bit better, we can go a long way.
I have way too many hobbies for my own good. If I'm not not at a concert or festival, you might find me crocheting, photographing or bouldering. Or exploring the neighborhood. Or petting animals. Or tending to my 50+ houseplants. Just having a nice time in general, be it alone or with nice people around me :)
Looking forward to making new friends and to invite you to Germany in exchange!

Music, Movies, and Books

TV: Everything with David Tennant in it, BBC shows in general. Also most things Marvel related, The Umbrella Academy, Supernatural, Ghibli Movies, …
I don't read as much as I used to. But if I do, I mostly read thriller or horror books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Every single time im traveling alone. I met so many great people, had to step out of my comfort zone so many times and was f*cking proud every time afterwards.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My cooking skills :) I'm in no way a master, but it seems I can cook pretty decent meals out of anything in the fridge. Or maybe something Vietnamese, like a nice Phở? (Disclaimer: Made out of pre-made soup base, not enough time to make the broth from start 😅)
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Scotland, Spain, United States, Viet Nam
