About Me

Ciao:)
We are Alessandra and Micol, both 31, from Italy.
We met in Australia in 2019 and have been travelling together ever since. We’re friendly, easygoing, and respectful, always smiling and open to new adventures.

We both speak Italian, English, and Spanish fluently.
Together, we've explored Asia, Europe, New Zealand, and some beautiful islands in the Pacific, often Couchsurfing and camping.

We just bought a one-way ticket to Panama and plan to journey up to Mexico with no fixed plans—just a vision to create unforgettable memories and make new friends along the way.

About Alessandra:
I’m an Italian illustrator from Rimini, with a lifelong passion for art. Growing up in an art-friendly environment, I studied at an art high school and eventually moved abroad, living in the UK, Australia, Spain, Asia, and New Zealand. I’m deeply curious, love the unknown, and enjoy immersing myself in new cultures and experiences. My creative work spans painting, photography, and linoprinting, and lately, I’ve been blending hand drawing and painting with digital media for my illustrations. I believe in the power of images to convey profound messages.

I’m a social, easygoing person who loves meeting new people, exploring new music, sharing experiences, and dancing (sometimes randomly and badly).

About Micol:
Originally from Milan, Micol is a sweet, reliable person with a passion for photography and breathtaking landscapes. She studied graphic design in London and has worked for over 11 years as a swimming coach and lifeguard. She loves hiking, planning trips, and is incredibly dependable. She also has a great sense of humour and loves making people laugh.

We both love mural art and often exchange art for accommodation while travelling, leaving our “tropical mark” wherever we go.

In Thailand, we volunteered as English and Art teachers at Ban Ko Adang School in Koh Lipe, where we lived with our Thai family in a reggae bar and learned about Thai culture. Through Couchsurfing, we’ve built lasting friendships with our hosts, who’ve become like family.

We’re adaptable and love experiencing new cultures, cooking, and savouring different flavours with our hosts, always respecting their space and schedules. We look forward to reconnecting with past hosts and making new connections along our journey.
