Overview
About Me
Straightforward, logical and honest are the best words to describe my personality! I am neat, tidy and willing to keep the environment organized, comfortable and pleasant.
Marital status: Engaged.
Please bear in mind tha this isn't a dating or hook up site at all. Hence, i might not be the right guests or travellers for you if there's any inappropriate motives. Let's be clear and set the right expectation.
Philosophy:
1. A deeply spiritual person who believes the joy of possession comes and goes. The joy of experience, especially an unusual experience lasts forever.
2. I don't usually follows trends as i always believe in forging your own paths, develop your thoughts and life stories.
3. My learning agility - continually unlearning old ‘rules’ and relearning new ones which requires continually questioning assumptions about how things work, challenging old paradigms, and ‘relearning’ what is now relevant in your life.
Current Mission:
I hope to broaden my horizons through practicing respect, kindness, consideration and understanding. These elements are oftenly being left behind in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I would and definitely love to meet people from diverse backgrounds and get to learn and be aware of different lifestyles, traditions, cultures and beliefs. Personally, i don'like to judge or being judged by someone quickly just because the views are different from each others.
Background:
I have grown up in a typical Chinese family environment and been taught that one must have work hard, getting good grades, picking up high-paying job, getting a decent car and mortgage where a big chunk of your monthly salary will be used to cover the debts.
Well, i would say that hardwork alone doesn't guarantee one's success in life, it need to complement with great charisma and strategic thinking. While working hard is important, there is something that matters even more - knowing your value instead of blindly obey what society tell us, find your inner voice and speak up for yourself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to explore the countries i have never been to and i would love meeting new people from different cultures, ideology and perspectives, also to push myself out of the judgmental society. Also, to find travel companions to explore non-touristy places. I strongly believe that women should work to empower & help each other especially being a solo female traveller or explorer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Decided to embark on my solo backpacking journey around Europe. It was a very rewarding experience after all. Solo backpacking is about taking responsibility of your safety and planning, being resilient and adaptable on your discovering journey. There's an abundance of things we can learn if we observe our surrounding with a little more carefully. You will learn to be patient, appreciative, slow down and cherish the ordinary things around you.
And slowly, I came to realize that the journey and those wonderful people I met along the way are more important than the destination counts. I am fortunate enough to have met with wonderful host, backpacker and travelers! THANKS TO THEM FOR MAKING ME A WONDERFUL AND MEMORABLE TRIP!
Key takeaways of my solo backpacking trip:
1. Ability to adapt and conquer new challenges by putting aside my curriculum of what i studied and list of workplace assignments.
2. Make my life more inspired by the amazing people I've met along the way.
3. Explore my own thoughts.
4. Being on solo trip makes one modest and you'll get to see the tiny place you occupy in the world.
5. Learn to be in my own company instead of seeking social validation and attention, spend more time on my own.
6. Being lost is perfectly fine. It's ok too if things don't turn out the way we plan.
7. Cherish the breathtaking view from your eyes and appreciate the mother earth.
8. Collect moments through the wonderful people I met along the journey instead of destination counts.
9. You will feel mentally satisfied and get to see way more as you walk more kilometres.
10. I love the community or sharing spirit with other backpackers, hosts or expats around the world. This may not require the physical material exchange, it can be in any form such as the cultural, lives, career, food or information sharing.
11. Reconnect with myself on a deeper level - Life isn't about securing a decent job, getting married, giving birth and clearing debts.
