I prefer spending some time with people that can tell me about the culture and tradition of the place I am visiting rather than spending time at random hotel that all look like the same.

Tour du Mont-Blanc (France - Italy): A 5 day hiking around the highest peaks in Europe.

Hiking on Dolomites (Italy): 3 days of hiking through the beautiful Brenta Dolomites;

Kashmir Valley (Pakistan): Spent 3 days in the Kashmir with a local family where I experienced their kindness and hospitality.
