About Me

🚧 Profile still under construction 🚧
🚧 🚧 🚧 (July 2024) 🚧 🚧 🚧

I am currently living in Italy since January 2024 (but I spent most of my time here in Paola -small town near Cosenza-)

I intend to travel a little more (I have been to many cities but most of them in Germany) and hopefully get a chance to truly experience every place with locals (or locals' tips)

Important:
I think that Couchsurfing is a great idea and an amazing platform if used correctly. That means: as a way to connect travellers with each other, not as a dating platform. If you are looking for someone to date, you can stop reading after this paragraph and use the saved time to download Tinder, Bumble or any other actual dating app.

Now for my fellow couchsurfers:
My account has been open since like 2017 but I haven't really started using it until this year (2024). Back in Germany (when I had an apartment of my own and better resources) I have hosted people at my place or at hotels that I was staying at but it was all in person, not over any website :c

I believe that humans are meant to help each other, not try to use each other to try and come out on top. That's why I help others whenever I can (as long as I don't feel like the other person is using me). During my time in Italy it is actually me the one in need for some budget help. As I find it fundamentally wrong and quite sus to ask for money, I would instead like some collaboration in the form of accommodation offers. That way I would be able to stretch my budget a little more (until I am legally allowed to leave the italian territory) and the host could be sure that I am not trying to take advantage of them.

What kind of conversations can you expect to have with me?
I am very passionate about changing everything that is wrong in the world (even though I know that it's not really attainable by individuals).
I come from a country that has been crippled in debt for about 200 years so I am also very interested in all things economy and also in thinking of ways to change the reality of all the other ones that don't have the resources to migrate.
Personal betterment is also something that I am interested in and takes up a lot of my mental space. I am very grateful whenever anyone points out (in private, please) that something I said/did was not right.
For me a human is a human, independently of where they come from or what they look like. Borders are arbitrary and the fact that people get different rights depending on where they were born is in my opinion just nonsense.

That is just a little bit of the kind of thoughts you can expect to hear from me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music:
Grenzen (by Dota Kehr)
Cholo soy y no me compadezcas (Luis Abanto Morales)

Movie: ...
I am awful with names but I remember I liked a lot "The boy who harnessed the wind"
I actually like everything but comedy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I emigrated (I've been told it's a huge thing although for me it's "normal" because I can't really imagine my life any other way)

I learned German to a good conversational level in like 3 years (still improving it)

I once travelled 700 km (hitchhiking) just to go knock on a door

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German and Spanish if you were interested in that ^^

I would love to learn... about everything? Mainly cultures different from my own.
Also food, animals, random facts and also skills

I can cook for free and will most likely end up cleaning your kitchen sooner or later xD

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just like any other emigrated, I have a lot of stories and would love to share them over dinner and drinks (not necessarily alcoholic)

I like talking about thoughts, thinking out loud, and being called out on any nonsense I say

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Peru, Romania
