My name is María, I´m from Spain. I decided to change my life more than two years ago. I broke with my routine and the consumer world in which I lived.
I had my own restaurant since that was my dream. One day I realized that it wasn´t what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It was a great experience, but it was also a very hard and little recognised work.
Then I decided to go to England. I started a program as a “development instructor” for 6 months and after that I went to India for 6 months. I worked as a teacher in a school with poor children.
My life was changed forever. Little by little I was learning and facing my fears. Life in India was very hard, but it was a great school for me.
When I returned from India, I was sure that I wanted to live travelling. I started this adventure a few months ago.
I travel alone and I do workaway, I like working on farms and as a volunteer with poor children.
When I have off time I like to visit some places. I feel very happy because I live the life I want.

I am a quiet, easy-going person and I always like to be learning something. I don´t like to waste my time or get bored so I always have a book in my hands.

I like meeting new people, for me it is the best part in my journey.

Every person comes to my life for one reason and every person inspires me. I am a positive person and I always find a solution for any problem.

I like listening to people and I like having interesting conversations. I like walking while I take nice photos.

Besides, I like to relax and spend a long time writing about my life, my trips, my thoughts. It relaxes me. I like to surround myself with positive and cheerful people who like nature and animals and take care of it.

I don´t like following society or to do what everyone does. I avoid consumerism and materialist people.

I like living with few things and I appreciate every person and moment that appears in my life.

I am in couchsurfing because the first time I did it I loved it.
When somebody hosts you in their home without asking for anything in return, you feel that this world is worth it.
I have decided to live travelling and I want to do it in this way because I meet wonderful people.

I don´t like tv. If someone ever recommends me a good movie I can see it, but I don´t like it very much. I love documentary.
