Hey everyone! I'm new in this community, born in Mexico but currently residing in the Netherlands. I came to this site because I believe that the best way of knowing a place is by seeing it from the eyes of a local; hope that I can make some really good friends on my way! :)

While in this exchange period (that I'm currently in) I realized how much you can learn from other persons, it is more enjoyable to share the simple things: a good meal, a nice sight, laughing together. There is a lot of places that I want to discover and see with my own eyes!

And is such a complex process of learning, I discovered things about myself while being away from my country, my family and my friends, that's so amazing!

More about me: well, I'm an Art and Design student, and an aspiring animator. There is still a long way to go in this path so I would not call myself an artist, but I aspire to one day, create something that can move people, even if it is just one person I would be satisfied with that.

As such I should mention a bit about my favorite artist, Monet is one of them, but also Rembrandt, Van Gogh, I have some kind of contradictory feelings towards Frida Kahlo, and so on. And I am also a huge fan of the contemporary illustrator Benjamin Lacombe.

I am also a huge fan of Japanese culture, I really love manga and anime. (I know, Japan is more than just that, that is why I wish I can go there one day, to learn more and more)

I consider myself an introverted person, but I'm working on those social skills these days :)
Also, I feel more like an observer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I wanted to travel to new places while making real bonds with the persons that live there.

Okay maybe that sounds a little bit fake, but I really believe that. I mean, maybe I won't become someone's best friend here, but hey! there's a whole world of opportunities, I mean why not? If we're here we already have something in common, we like to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite bands are muse, royal blood, BMTH, but I also like other kinds of music. In México I listen to zoe, cafe tacva, Natalia Lafourcade, etc.

I really enjoy fantasy movies; Tim burton's, Miyasaki's, The lord of the rings series, etc.

The type of book that I usually read is a novel, Neil Gaiman's work is one of my favorites.

What can I teach you? maybe something about the stuff that I like, or the things that I love.
I can learn how to cook tastier dishes if you show me how to make them.
I can share a bit of the world that I've seen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Right now I am in the Netherlands so I can't share any Mexican stuff... aside from my own knowledge, of course, buuuut I can be a great companion...! (I hope haha).

And well, the Netherlands has this incredible thing called stroopwafels, so I can share some of those too ;)
