Hello everybody! I am a 43 years old male, living in the city of Deventer in the middle of Holland. I am working as a project manager at the company Electromach in Hengelo. I like to go out and visit other cities and events. But it is also nice to come back in my tiny hous just near the central station in Deventer. My house is hidden in a small dead-end street surrounded by other houses keeping the most of noise from the station away. Because of the trees and plants in our little street I am living in what looks likes a oase! just around the corner is the central station and the nice and historical city centre is 5 minutes walking from my home.

At the moment I am single and after my work I usually go to the gym or do some training for the triatlon. Also I am almost every evening doing my home work for the study applied filosofy at the university of applied filosofy in Utrecht. I like reading science, history, filosofy, astronomy and a lot more..! In the weekends I like to meet some friends and drink a beer in a pub or go out to see some live music.

My nature can be described as serieous, calm and introvert but if something sparks the fire in me I will become enthousiastic and less calm .. :-) . One important personal value is to respect everybody, never mind where he is comming from and how he or she is living. As long they have more or less the same value's it is OK. In groups I might move a bit more to the back ground and I don't need a lot of space or attention to be happy. Just a book, a beer and a square meter is more than enough for me!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I like to start with couch surfing because I am travveling quit often and allone and it is a good manner to stay abroad. And it might also be a good manner to meet interesting people. I realy like the filosofy to share with others and help them having a good time.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music I Like: almost everything except populair pop music. It depends on my mood. Sometimes rock, another moment dance, but cross over ska, funk, jazz, beat hop punk is realy great! :-)
I still like to listen to the music from when I was young(er). U2, the Cure, the Doors but also Prodigy, Beasty Boys, Royksopp... you see, a lot of colours...

Movies: I am normally not watching to much TV or movies in the cinema. But sometimes I like to go to the cinema land ook verry watch movies which normally don't seems to come from Hollywood.

Books: to much to list here. ha ha..

I do have a small room with a matras. Currently only a matras on the floor but soon I will arrange a suitable bed. The house is small and I think you can hear each other well when moving (on the stairs for example), specially at night. So I am looking for quit moving people ha ha! Also I am looking for none smoking people ( even not outside in the garden, because I share the street with 6 others and they will be alarmed by strangers smoking in the garden!) You can use my badroom/shower and if required towels etc. If you need sheets and pillow please let me know in advance! And I try to arrange a breakfast for you, because we are human and need food, and it is nice to do so!
