About Me

I'm basically a nerd. I play a lot of video games, I love science and astronomy, and music as well. People that know me is aware that almost all the time I'm wearing at least one piece of clothing from Harry Potter.
I study mechanical engineering, and I'm doing exchange studies in Mittweida for one semester, until July 2018. Traveling all around the world was always my dream, and now I'm being able to start doing it. Getting in contact with new cultures is a thing that I appreciate a lot. Germany is my first country abroad, and until now it has been a great experience. Until the end of my exchange, I hope to meet most of the country, and some other parts of Europe as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Most of the times I'll be probably traveling by myself, so it would be nice to get in contact with other people that probably have more experience in travelling than me. Also, I like to know new cultures, so being a host in other people's places would be interesting for sure. I still haven't done any CS experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can say for sure that my favorite music style is Rock. Pink Floyd is probably my favorite band, thanks to my father that presented them to me trough one of their albums when I was around 10 years old. Since then, my taste has evolved in different ways, and I got to like folk music, MPB, jazz... things like that. I usually don't like pop music.
I'm for sure a Tolkien fan, and I wish so hard that Middle Earth was real (at least the beautiful part of it, Sauron and his friends are not necessary haha). I'm also a Potterhead, and I'm still waiting for my letter to Hogwarts.
I'm a book worm, and my favorite literary genre is fantasy and sci fi. Asimov and Tolkien are my favorite writers. I also read quite a lot about science.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure if I have ever done something incredible, but I think I might be about to change it. Actually, probably the most incredible thing for now is all this experience of living in Germany for one semester.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn about other cultures, because I think this changes my view about the world, tearing down stereotypes and misconceptions that unfortunately we create. So, if you have something nice to share, I would love to hear about it.
I also like recommendations of what to do in the city, is always good to know the view of a resident about the places. I don't like parties, and I prefer quiet places without too many people, like museums, and exhibitions, or places with nature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you good Brazilian music, culture, and if you want, I can teach you some words in Portuguese. I'm a little shy, but if we start a conversation about something I like, then I get more open. I wish I could cook, so I could show you brazilian food, but unfortunately this is still a work in progress and is still not safe for other people hahaha
