About Me

Hi there;)

To travel to me is a way of study. Observation and openness to diversity brings me closer to understanding everything that surrounds us.

I´ve participated in various Erasmus+ youth exchanges so I´m fond of cooperation across borders and equality among everybody. I always like to learn new things and new languages. At the moment, I study urbanism in The Hague, Netherlands and so, any talks about cities and architecture are very much welcome!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being a student, I find lots of stuff really expensive and since this generation has this great opportunity to travel relatively easily, I find the platform of spending time in your destination with the locals an amazing way to get to know the place and its people. Respect to all those who have an open heart and mind!

Interests

As an urbanist, I like all kinds of fun facts about any cities. I am also a very mindful tourist, noticing details of the environment I am in.

I like discussing society and I am very curious and open to hear different views on the world.

My strong drive in life is finding circular and environmentally-friendly solutions for our lifestyles.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like listening to indie, flamenco music, Arabic funk, some rock. There are many interpreters I listen to: ROSALÍA, Tamino as some examples and Czech and Slovak musicians like Priessnitz, Dukla, Kafka band or Katarzia. I discover new music constantly, though. For instance, I like attending jazz jam sessions - there you get to soak in music that exists only once ever and that is so fascinating. Also, Spotify counts me among the heaviest listeners of music in Czechia, haha.

Movies are an important component of a good life for me. Absolute favourite is Interstellar, then others include Schindler’s list, The Grand Budapest Hotel, or Breakfast at Tiffany’s, for Czech ones it’s Cozy dens, for instance. For TV series, Casa de papel, Homeland and Borgen are perfect pieces.

I am the type of person that begins reading several books and returns to them based on mood. I like reading about society, cities, geography, future, just as historical novels, travel diaries and some great classics. I can also recommend you some fact-based and self-growth literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We hitchhiked with a friend from my hometown Ostrava all the way to Andorra! The journey of about 2000 km took us 6 days and some 25 cars and vans. Boy, what a beautiful and novel way to look at the countries and peoples of Europe it was!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn any bits of your language or of your philosophy!

Sharing is the future and I try to accommodate for it - I’m very open to share anything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very keen “sharer” of music playlists.
