Hi, I'm Ping Chen. I’m 22years old and have studied in National Taiwan University. My major is Finance but I don’t really like it. I love listening western music and Hollywood movies. I am an active and responsible person.
I take a lots of efforts in things that I am interesting in. I love to observe those little things in life and also a sensitive person. I love making friends because I think from every single person around me I can learn different pros and cons when being with them. I love listening friends’ life stories and their backgrounds. It always broaden my horizon and make me more often putting myself in others’ shoes. I also love traveling around the world. It helps me stay away from my comfort zone and force myself to be strong to handle things on my own. And knowing people from different places make me feel how big this world is and I need to keep learning and keep exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I go to Japan for the first time, I was shocked by the feelings I got in my mind. I felt so relaxed and excited at the same time. And whenever I fly on the sky and overlooking the whole world, it makes me feel that lots of things that I’m worried about or lots of things that make me feel stressed in Taiwan just become so unimportant. Traveling around the world always broaden my horizon and meeting different culture and people make me happy. This world is big and wonderful. I don’t even have enough time and physical strength to go to all the countries on my checklist. And sometimes if you don’t fulfill your dream when you are young, maybe there won’t be any chance to fulfill the dream in the future anymore. Actually, I’m quite nervous to go to America by myself because my English isn’t that good, but I love making friends and enjoy the culture around the world, I think that is the reason I'm on Couchsurfing.
